Video to doc: from one recording to an editable Flow
The recording is the input. The deliverable is a set of short, ordered step clips with cursor actions, focused zoom, titles, and notes. Review and edit the generated Flow before sharing.
Create a sales PivotTable in Excel
This example splits one continuous Excel recording into four short step clips, each with cursor action, focused zoom, and notes.
- Workbook
- Q2-Sales.xlsx
- Source sheet
- Sales Data
- Rows
- 1,248
- Result
- Regional revenue
Open the workbook and select the data
Open Q2-Sales.xlsx from the Windows desktop and select the full data range, including headers, on the Sales Data sheet.
Insert a PivotTable
Open the Insert tab, choose PivotTable, and keep the current table or range.
Create a new summary sheet
Confirm the table range, choose New Worksheet, and create the PivotTable.
Summarize revenue by region
Add Region to Rows, add Revenue to Values, and format the values as currency.
When screen recording is the better input
Use video when the procedure runs in desktop software, across several apps, on a mobile device, or anywhere browser click capture cannot cover the full task.
Desktop and cross-app procedures
Document tasks that move between client software, local files, email, browsers, and internal business systems.
Mobile apps and device workflows
Upload an iOS or Android screen recording and turn the visible operation into training or support steps.
Existing demos and training videos
Convert archived product demos, delivery walkthroughs, and training recordings into searchable, maintainable Flows.
Use recordings from the software and devices your work spans
Record a screen or application window directly in the browser. Upload mobile recordings and existing demo videos through the same video-to-Flow path.
Desktop productivity and design
Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, and other desktop tools
Desktop business applications
SAP GUI, QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50, and ERP, MES, or WMS client software
Cross-application procedures
Browser plus Excel, email plus ERP, or file-system tasks that continue into an admin portal
Mobile and tablet workflows
iOS and Android screen recordings, mobile business apps, and mini programs
Create an editable Flow from your next recording
Complete the procedure once, review the generated steps, frames, and notes, then share the finished Flow with your team.
Add iGenflow to ChromeRecordings that produce clearer workflow docs
- Record from a clear start to the final result.Keep enough context for the task and step order to be understood without guessing what happened before or after.
- Let important results remain visible.Pause briefly after clicks or inputs so the result is clear; avoid long waits and rapid app switching.
- Review and redact before publishing.Check generated titles, frames, and notes, remove sensitive information, and add the business details your team needs.
